Elopement History
A traditional elopement is one in which the couple takes off to Vegas and gets married without anyone knowing. It’s extemporaneous to say the least. Now couples plan their elopement and have valid reasons for doing so.
We celebrate all loving couples, and understand the relationships dynamics of most families. Therefore, we respect every couple’s rights to privacy.
Respecting All
Many traditional elopements are not photographic opportunities for US Capitol Elopements, and we get that. Our (DC Marriage Knot) officiants are honored to be part of your special day when you book through that site.
Experience has shown us that many couples appreciate a souvenir image of their elopement captured on a smartphone. Since we have no rights to use those images, nor can we protect our company’s brand; it’s only fair, not to ask us to take smartphone photos.
